Who Are At A Higher Risk Of HPV?

People who have any of the conditions below are at a higher risk of HPV:

• You have more than one sexual partner or have intercourse with a person who has more than one sexual partner
• Lesbian or bisexual
• Persons whose immune systems are weak, in particular HIV-positive persons, are more likely to develop anal cancer. Women with HIV are also more likely to get severe cases of genital warts that are harder to treat.
• Smokers
• Persons who have premature sexual activities
